Excellent work Christel. Love how you handled the light coming from the left side and improvised background is perfect!

The good news is, there is no bad news. Doctor number 3 is sure I should be back on track by next week. Hoping to get some real OP time before the end of the month.

Here's my version of the Paddock shot. 9x12" Mi Teintes pastel paper, mostly Mungyos, with a few Senns at the end.

It's showing up a little dark, it's actually brighter IRL. The ongoing joys of cell phone photography and window light.

Terri - lovely! You have a great sense of distance and I love the way you portrayed the light side of the trees.

WIP I have been concentrating on the girl, trying to get her accurate.

I have not adjusted any other parts, since my first sketch. Will adjust them later.

Any thoughts will be very appreciated.

Great start, Jennie! You could finish the skin tones first to get a reference point for your values?
The red colors can be more brownish red to push them more into the background.

Jenny I'm trying out this reference too. For the face use cp for the fine detail and pencil for eyelashes.
Simplify the background.
I use my Dermatograph marker for black circles on the pyjama
For the hair pale orange, yellow ochre, dark brown and final layer black marker.

Terri,
This is very soothing and relaxing. Light and shadows are done well.

This looks challenging, but you're off to a nice start, Jen. The outline of her posture looks good in your sketch. Looking forward to seeing this one develop.
