Thanks Joan, Michelle, Debby and John.

LOL, John. The tabasco and louisiana hot sauce is in the other cabinet with the soy sauce and tamari :-) I don't have but two kinds right now! I do use the cayenne pepper in the space cabinet an awful lot though.

Cool sketches Rainy. Shall I take it you finally got to move to the country? If so are you enjoying it as much as you thought you would?

Re: Delta Series Sketchbook

Margo. . . yes! The dogs and I now live on about two and half acres -- we are about a mile and a half on a dirt road from the nearest two lane blacktop. Its so much nicer than where I had lived before!! Have to plan store outings now, but that's ok.

Here is something I did in sketchbook while playing with some new Hydrus watercolors that I got myself as a Christmas gift. They are a bit different than the two Radiant watercolors that I have. But I opted not to get more of the Radiant as they are not lightfast. I'm going to give the Hydrus a test on the new Zeta paper samples I got next. . . this was in the Delta - notice how flat the page lays on this book when using across the spread. LOVE that.

Oh, the page had some color already on it using neocolor 2 (it was a prepared page) and I added the text quote (which I think is from Ghandi) with the computer after I took the picture.

Re: Delta Series Sketchbook

Always nice to "get" a present you actually want! Great tryout.

Hmmm...sounds like our living arrangements are similar. Definitely a trip to the store for me, 20 miles for basic stuff, 50 for anything exotic or fun. It becomes an adventure. I'm sure the pooches are in nirvana, mine is.

Have a great holiday and have fun playing with your self presents.

Re: Delta Series Sketchbook

Thank you, Jacqui!

Had to try to draw this guy real quick (used watercolor pencil, just the same four I had in my little kit). . . he had a beanie cap on and a goatee with rubber bands. Very unusual.

It was done on a prepared page so he didn't have tattoo on his face or anything, that was just already on the paper.

Re: Delta Series Sketchbook

Great sketches Rainy. The fellow with the swirls on his face reminds me of my DH's paintings. He tends to paint shaman type fantasy characters with tatoos on their faces.

Re: Delta Series Sketchbook

Nice group of sketches! It's so fun to find a real 'character' to sketch, like goatee guy here, isn't it?
