Should I pre-mix retarder medium in new jars of paint?

I use 250 mL jars of acrylic paint (the Rheotech line from Tri-Art). I am thinking of mixing in 50 mL (20%) of retarder medium (also from Tri-Art) into all new jars of this paint. Would that be advisable? The instructions on the retarder medium recommends a ratio of 15-20%.
