ROBIN

Jo - Nice sketch. I like the light subtle lines to show the wood grain.

Keep sketching
Joe

Thanks, Robin, nice to see you.

Joe, thank you.

I went out with the Plein Air group yesterday. Used my watercolors for my sketch here. Couldn't decide if it was colorful, boring or what. I added a bit of ink here at home. Decided on:

Number 6, something you are wishing for - to paint better with watercolor (without working at it!)

Jo - Clever interpretation. And really nice watercolor. You are doing a lot better than me. The biggest result from my watercolor efforts is more paper to the recycling plant and an increase in Blick paint sales.

Keep sketching
Joe

Joe , wc is working. Ha.
We went for a routine blood test for Gene and I sketched on the patio while I waited. Then it misted and got cold. Today is 80 degrees plus and we've had the house open. Never know. This is in the travel sketchbook with a Pilot ball point pen, thus the light lines.
Number 7, metal

Re: Scavenger Hunt #566: Nov 25 - Dec 3, 2018

Joe, thanks for the list.
Jo, ...my you have been busy this week! ...your front door looks nice, and Pringles, yummy, but difficult to draw, good box tho. That hand holding the wooden spatula is really good, as is the watercolour of the woodland, I'd love to sit in that chair and sketch along with you. The patio table and chair sketch is lovely too....
Dave, neat brickwork, and what a dear lil critter, squirrels can be a bit pesky, but a joy to watch undulating slog the branches of the trees...

...creeping under the finish line with a few sketches. Graphite in my new A4 scav hunt sketchbook...
1, something seasonal, a little Santa bought at a local craft fair while down with my DD ...
2, animal, a well loved toy of dd's doglet, a rather confused looking chicken...
3,something in my hand, a Christmas tree decoration...

...sorry about the grotty photo...

Jo - nice line work and good use of time.

Scotty - Nice set of sketches. I particularly like the hand holding the ornament and the texture on Santa is intriguing.

Keep sketching
Joe

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have not posted in this hunt, but I'm hosting the next one (list posted here) and need to get my pencils sharpened.

Cheers,

Re: Scavenger Hunt #566: Nov 25 - Dec 3, 2018

Scatty, oooh, like those graphite sketches. The Santa is cute. I had one of those, must have gifted it before I used it. Nice hand.

Thanks, Joe.

I got a couple more done. In the big sketchbook about half a page with a Prismacolor 03, at home while watching the tube so wasn't paying attention to either. Watching about President Bush's life. He was a pretty amazing gentleman. Gene met him when he was working and acted as a translator at a conference for a couple of days. The regular translator was ill. He was as genuine as the stories today.

Number 8, safety item and Number 9, animal (stuffed hedgehog, pretty sure I've sketched him before)

I obviously didn't sketch them side by side.

Jo & Scatty: Super cute sketches.

Joe: So sorry that I have been busy and in the art slump due to burning out of work & life. I hope I can do more next time.
