oil on canvas 8″ x 8″Its working out that this frieze is not going to be a series of Monet studies. Go with
the flow. I shall have to quote David Hockney out of context when he said ” Never
believe what an artist says, only what he does”. So it will be 30 small works that
will or may find a home somewhere.March 11, 2019 at 5:32 am #796198John – Beautiful artwork. The variety of shapes & colors come together perfectly. So unique & all painted on such a tiny 8” X 8” – Amazing !

I'M NOT AS THINK AS YOU DRUNK I AMMarch 11, 2019 at 7:14 am #796197Wonderful mosaic of colour and shapes. Very nice. You cant tell from photo that’s its only 8×8.
ArnieMarch 11, 2019 at 7:25 am #796195It was my first thought too when I saw your painting regarding doing a Monet series. Yes indeed go with your own inspiration and see where the journey takes you! This is beautiful it is as if the landscape is a giant bunch of lovely flowers growing into every part of it.

Success is never found. Failure never fatal. Courage is the only thing.
Winston Churchill.March 11, 2019 at 10:17 am #796201I know I’m always in for a treat when I open up one of your threads – I don’t know if it’s how the painting reads on my screen or if it’s that way in real life, this painting seems much more in your face than your other pieces – I think it’s beautiful

March 13, 2019 at 2:56 am #796194Thanks folks most kind. I suppose it is a bit in-your-face but colour and tonal contrast is
the name of the game. Tho it seems reds and greens are equal on the tonal side but not
on the colour side of things. I had in mind putting them in groups of say 6. See if that would
work. So one would have a painting 24″ x 16″ made up of 6 panels each. -
