Skeleton Warrior

The swashbuckling skeleton warrior from one of my favorite films of my youth, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. I painted this in acrylics on Masonite board on a size of 16" x 20".

Re: Skeleton Warrior

Very nice. I thought of "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad", with its special effects by the great Ray Harryhausen, immediately I saw this.

Love that movie!
Your artwork captures it very well.
Oh, those wonderful Ray Harryhausen stop motion effects, the good old days.

LOL, This was the most overpowering film that made me really want to draw...I kept trying to get the Cyclops right and learned a bunch of tricks along the way. My first grade teacher was impressed during art time (where we had little easels and poster paint) when I drew a Tyrannosaurus rex....ok, so it looked like a duck with bad dentures...I was 6, for cryin' out loud...but I was always moving forward, and fantasy movies inspired me to do that

Harryhausen's Rhedosaurus had the same effect on me
Phenomenal painting!
