Hope you can master it Fran. Remember you can't upload pictures until your third post.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

I found Doug's videos very helpful. Now if I can accomplish the results by following his directions, I'll be in business.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

OK A Q!
Does a post include a question asked in a thread that is fairly old? (the drawing classes, some of the threads are a couple years old, but seem to be "open" still) I ask because I posted a couple Q's in 2 threads, asking how to post a photo in the thread..Then I saw in this thread how to size, but it seems members have had problems..
So I suppose I'm back to how do I post? (If I can...)

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

Jeanette,
A new post in a thread will reactivate it and bring it back to the first page of a forum (as long as it hasn't been closed by the moderators or administrators for some reason).

Some members seem to be having trouble with the Uploader at times, so it is hard to give a definitive answer to posting your images in a thread.

Try using the icon at the top of the window that is square and has what looks like a mountain in it to Upload your image after sizing it correctly on your computer's desktop. Current size restrictions are 800 W x 800 H (I personally only use 600 H x 800 W so people don't have to scroll to see my image).

If the Uploader doesn't work, you can always try using the Attach Image bar at the bottom of the window.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Sylvia

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

I've been trying to figure out how to add images to the Image Gallery, but don't see a post on it. Can you tell me how to do it?
Thanks
Orphie

The RIL uploader is under repair, only occasional test images are getting through. There will be an announcement when it is fixed.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

This may not be the place for this question, but I am having trouble posting a quick reply. I compose my message and click on "Post Quick Reply". It usually appears again and I have clicked again on the button. Then, usually I get a message that "this a duplicate." If I don't click the second time the reply most often does not come up. There is probably something right in front of me I'm not seeing. Can you give me some pointers.
I was surprised to find my painting here, but I can say that I believe I have mastered uploading a painting.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

It may be because the site is extremely slow to respond from time to time. This is the usual cause of double/absent posts.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

One note about the uploader that I found by experience is that it hates CMYK files. The file in question has to be RGB or it will blow out the colors.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

I re-did the uploader and resizing videos, they should be OK now. Sorry about the slight loss of sync.

Re: Using The Uploader and Resizing Images

I have photos of my paintings stored on Kodak online gallery - they seem too small rather than too large and the little mountain symbol doesn't seem to enlarge. I tried the jpeg site also. This is an example. They are 16x20 and 18x24

Just trying the attachment icon this time. Looks like the little one (the abstract) came out ok, but not the other.
