Re: The Gnats Won Today!

A couple of weeks ago, I did a painting in the mountains on a bald. The whole time, I was inundated with a cloud of gnats, and no matter how much bug spray I used, nothing would keep the pests away. I even sprayed the legs of my tripod (in case they were drawn to the paint), but they were relentless. That's an interesting idea about the incense or punk sticks--will have to try that next time. I've also heard that a mixture of Listerine and water will keep mosquitoes away, so I wonder if that goes for gnats, as well. (We have plenty of both here!)
