Park House - pen and wash

This A5 sketch was done recently on a morning out with our local sketching group. I used a page in the Hahnemuhle Grey Book, having previously added a light acrylic green/blue acrylic background. The drawing was done with a fine liner pen, watercolour washes and the addition of white gel pen for the window frames.

Thank you JayJay and Tuscany. Always a pleasure to get a reasonable plein air sketch.

What a very lovely painting! You did a marvelous job on this!! I don't know why my WC Watermedia notification told me there were no new threads when there was one....but I am glad I did not miss this charming painting!

Same here, another glitch perhaps!
Love the freshness of the scene you can only get with plein air work.

Super. Love the building - just the right amount of detail to capture it without getting too fiddly. I've given up even trying to draw buildings freehand, so this is something I particularly admire!
