Cow and Calf

Oil painting I just completed. It's 16x20"; which is getting to be about the only size I work in. Any comments or critiques are welcome!

Re: Cow and Calf

I love the softness of the fur on the light part of the Mom's face and the colors used. On the calf my favorite parts are the ears and chest area; with the light wisps of hair.
The background is wonderful and soft. Great job.

Re: Cow and Calf

I love that it's so cropped so close that it focuses on their emotional expression. Very, very soft and great likeness. At least they look like cows I've known.

Re: Cow and Calf

This is such a sweet depiction of mother-child-love, the fur looks so soft and the painting conveys a warm feeling. Beautiful.
