Re: *** Daily Wash Saturday 5th May 2012 ***

Good morning all,

Sun is shining brightly, and we will be in the high 80s with a chance of rain. We only got a drizzle out of last night's storms. The thunder came close enough for Lucy to climb all over us. At least she just lays close and we do not have to comfort her.

Don, a mifi unit can be bought at any cell phone supplier. You have to pay $60 a month for unlimited usage. However, my phone with Sprint has the mifi feature built in. It is also called a hot spot. If I want it all the time, it is $20 a month more. I tried using it once, and it did not work well and it uses up your battery. At Best Buy, you can purchase a mifi unit that you buy time on a card. When I buy my next iPad, I will buy it with a monthly subscription.

JJ, I have had many strange dreams lately. I think mine are related to getting off of Lexapro.

Pat, I know how frustrated you must be, but at least the staff was concerned about the welfare of your mother.

Char, I am with you on the iron. I took everything out of my closet that needed to be ironed. It is only wash and wear for me. Everything else is being given away.

DH went to Winstar casino with his friend from school. He said he was an intense gambler who did not even take time out to eat. Ben followed him around and sat next to him the whole time. So, he did not get to eat. Ben's wife will not go with him to gamble. Now I know why! When we go gambling locally, we scatter and meet up to eat at the appointed time. However in Vegas, we stay in the same area. I do not think John will be going with him for a while.

Well, I need to clean and do laundry while husband is umpiring.

To everyone in need.

Char, I'd love to see the Avengers, but I'd have to go by myself as wife does not like Scifi.:

Pat, thanks for the information. I didn't know that existed. I'll look into it.

((Shirley)) I hope the machine gets to you soon. I wonder if that would work on my gall stone?

Re: *** Daily Wash Saturday 5th May 2012 ***

Hello everyone,

I've been up since early because Jen dropped Klaira off. She's been active until about a 1/2 hour ago when I picked her up with her blankie and hummed her to sleep. So I've got a few quiet minutes to drop in here.

It's cloudy and quite cool here...I really want to see the SUPER MOON but I don't think we'll be able to here because of the clouds.

Kaitlyn wants to have her boyfriend come over and have a fire in our firepit tonight but It looks like rain. They are NOt calling for any though.

Jen is working all weekend and Larry had to work today too. It's the first Saturday that he's had to work for a VERY long time. Over-time is starting. He had to go in for 5am (until 1pm).

Yes, Uschi those are the exact black-eyed susans that I'm destroying. UGH....they are very invasive.

I have to separate my Michigan cactus too...it's getting out of hand. A co-worker wants a piece of it so hopefully I can get a good piece with good root system.

I don't really have that much planned today; I'm hoping to paint some though; but I'll most likely have to wait until Larry comes home to help out with Klaira. I should actually be painting now while she's sleeping.

I'm watching 'House Crashers" and getting the bug to paint and re-model...especially my kitchen. I sure wish someone would pick me out in Home Depot and come home with me to re-do my kitchen. I'd definitely say YES; not that I'd like being on TV but a FREE re-model would be GREAT!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and are able to do something you'd really like to do with someone you really love.

“Take care to get what you like or you will be forced to like what you get.” (George Bernard Shaw)

Re: *** Daily Wash Saturday 5th May 2012 ***

Hey Washers,

Got behind in reading washes and then never caught up until now. Think I read everything. Not sure I can remember anything.

My life sort of jumped into chaos for a couple of weeks. Nothing terrible, but you know, make plans and You Know Who laughs. I did get my permanent crown. I did get some things fixed in my apartment, so that's good.

On the downside I was hoping to see a friend this weekend who was flying out from Michigan, but she has MS and she had a bad attack and had to cancel her trip. I feel so bad for her. She described an attack, and it sounds just horrible.

So Thursday I called up to get my car taken care of which I was going to hold off on until next week. I was driving down the street a couple of months ago and something hit the windshield. Didn't even see it. But later I came out to my car after parking it in bright sunshine, and there was a crack starting up the glass. I noticed it only traveled up when the windshield was sitting in hot sun, and since the weather is about to get a lot hotter and sunnier (hopefully?!!?!?) I thought I better get it taken care of. I also had a broken tail light that needed replacing.

And since I wouldn't have a car Friday, I decided to make a gluten free version of a Lulu Loaf and make some jewelry. The Lulu Loaves didn't come out quite right, so I'm going to try tweaking some things the next time round. The jewelry went much better.

Darla have you ever thought about writing to This Old House? Then if they picked your kitchen you really wouldn't have to appear on camera except to ooh and aahh afterward. Sometimes the owners never appear. Boy do they do amazing remodels. And you don't pay.

Annie and Uschi I tried many times to get some kind of rudbeckias to grow in my mother's garden. They always died. Guess I may have gotten lucky, huh? On the other hand I tried forget-me-knots and I never stopped kicking myself for that one. They are the worst! That and the pink clover ground cover my mother put in. A never ending battle on both.

Happy birthday to Tony belatedly. I've only been to Oxford. Did a summer course there. I hope to see Cambridge one day.

Doug. Tell Ruth that is one gorgeous sweater! Lucky Henry.

Henry I hope they are able to help your wife.

Geoff I hope you can get more sleep. Do you sleep better when you are off caravanning? Or haven't you noticed?

JJ I hope you find your other shoe!

Winnie and Pat. Bummer.

Char your students are so lucky. I hope you get your hip sorted.

Bill how did the mushrooms taste? Someone gave my mother one of those as a gift and it never sprouted.

Reikiart happy birthday to your son.

Judy tell your SIL that studies have shown that music helps kids do better in school. Music is mathematical. By the way, did you know that many musicians are amateur mathematicians and most mathematicians tend to play an instrument? So there.

Which reminds me I must practice for two singing auditions. And, yes, I was exceptionally good in math!

Gail glad your back is getting better. Your pond is looking wonderful.

Sylvia congrats on being juried in at the show. Good luck with your peony.

to everyone I haven't mentioned and all who are on the way.

Hello and greetings from windy and warm Kansas. Suppose to get up to 97F today and 78 F tomorrow. If you don't like the weather in Kansas, wait 10 minutes andit will change.

Busy day today. The Direct TV technician is here right now installing satellite TV and later we are going to a memorial service for a close friend who passed away a few days ago.

JJ I foresee a trip to the shoe store in the near future for you.

Doug, hope your eye gets better soon. I can imagine how irritating that must be for you.

I recently purchased a new brush from cheap joe's but have not tried it out yet. It is a #38 round. Have any of you tried out or use one that big?

I have been trying out gimp but find it more difficult than photoshop. Has anyone else had that experience?

Since it is 1 pm guess I had better have lunch. Everyone take care and have a good day. We never know how many we have left.
Painting, a journey of pleasure.

Good morning from the still dark before dawn.

Yep, Uschii they are Rudbeckias, as we would call. I think the humidity did them in rather than any heat. I doubt we'll have an invasion problem on current thirty per cent survival rates

Just popping in to say hi!! I just came in from going outside to look at the "Super Moon"! It was pretty SUPER! ...just wish I had a super camera to take a decent picture of it. The picture I got with my camera, looks like a dot! I hope everyone is doing well.

Re: *** Daily Wash Saturday 5th May 2012 ***

Hi, been a busy day, Lauren (GD) is spending the weekend with us, so in the morning we went to breakfast at Mimi's then to her house to feed the dog and stuff. Back home and our chores, including taking bottles and cans to recycle etc. She talked Gpa into taking us out to dinner I was good, Thai chicken mango salad, but did have a few BBQ chicken wings MMMM

We'll see what tomorrow brings.
