Im wanting to get away from flowers and landscapes for a while and try portraits of my grandkids. What would be a good starting palette?

You will need skin tones of course and also yellows, browns , ochres. Also use greens and blues under the skin tones. Mount Vision is a good brand. Pencils are good to use as starters and then put softer pastels on top
