Re: Umbrella info needed

I'm partial to my BestBrella--silver on the outside, black on the inside, vented, and it has a versatile attachment system. On their website they show it on a Soltek. I've used in on my Soltek and on tripod with OpenBox M and a French mistress, and it's never been a problem.

When it's windy I routinely hang my pack off the botton of the tripod with some weight in it.

There is also the best brella http://bestbrella.com

I do not use it, but I know people that do. I use a Shade Buddy (http://www.dakotapastels.com/pages/e...umbrellas.aspx) scroll down the page to see it. Spikes into the ground.

I use the bestbrella, and yes it does fit onto the soltec. You have to be smarter than the umbrella and make sure you weight down your soltec, and if you step away from your set up always make sure you close the umbrella.

I can't live without shade painting in the desert where I live. I like the bestbrella as it will adjust to any angle and hold. I don't have to futz with it at all.

I actually have two that I use. I take my dog along with me and she always ends up at my feet in the shade, so I hook a second up to a foot stool I carry along for her own piece of shade.
