Off Limits

This is an early painting (1974); one of my oils which was my early medium for large paintings. This is 24" x 36". The scene is looking upstream from our local river where the bridge crosses the road 18 miles from our town. This upstream side of the bridge is off limits for fishing for salmon. A good place to avoid!

Re: Off Limits

This is a photo taken from the same section of the river while standing on the highway bridge that crosses the river. The position of the photo used for the painting was taken from under the bridge looking in the same direction. The water in the river photo was taken before the water level had gone down in the autumn.

He hadn't been into the water yet. The fishing wasn't very productive that time of year.

I have quite a number of grizzly photos, (ninety percent are from inside the vehicle.) Thanks for commenting.
