A recent commission: Lover's Leap

I've not visited in a while, as I've been busy with commissions and getting ready for an exhibition of my work next year.

Here is my latest work, a 16x20 oil on panel commission of a waterfall in Tennessee.

I'll try to post a few more picture of recent works.

Thank you for looking! I hope you enjoy.

I have to say that this does look like an exercise in Photoshop.

If it isn't then take a bow.

Re: A recent commission: Lover's Leap

I assure you that it is a genuine oil painting and not a Photoshoped picture in any way, although I did use Photoshop mobile to lower the resolution to fit below the 2mb file size permitted for the forums.

But I take your doubt as a compliment!! 😃 Here are a few progress picture.

The detail on this is amazing. It makes me yearn for the crystal clear air that must be in this place. Well done.

Thank you, so much for your compliments.

This is from a photo taken of a place called Rock City atop lookout mountain near Chattanooga Tennessee. The Great Smokey Mountains runs through Tennessee and offer some of the most spectacular scenery east of the Mississippi River.

Super! It has something of the look of a quattrocento landscape, something fantastical. Good luck with the exhibition.

Thank you very much!

I've got a full year to get ready for it, but at my production speed, I think I'll need it!
