Re: October Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!

We had a tiny bit but today was perfect. Sunny but cool and it smelled so nice out.

Zeus has dental surgery on Thursday, he has a bad tooth. I'm a bit worried because of his age but it needs to come out, poor guy.

I'm done one zombie, I think I have time for another!

I hope all goes well for Zeus.

Chilly this morning but possible double digits tomorrow. That's celcius btw. I do need to do some stuff outside but that will mean less crafting time. I've been playing with polymer and mica powder.

Do any of you watch Z Nation? I love it though I'm not liking this season as much as the others yet. It may grow on me.

I gave up on the Walking Dead early. The first couple were good, but the females were so vapid and shallow and irritating. They did better with them in later seasons but it seem so soap operaish, I couldn't get past that. I do love their makeup.

My son's ex-girlfriend (they're still friends) has been doing makeups, she's getting really good at it!

Don't really watch anything these days. And zombies kind of annoy me. All of a sudden they were everywhere, I don't know why.

Well, I guess tomorrow is reveal.

Re: October Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!

I forgot to say Zeus is doing really well. He's such a big big baby, he sounded like he was mooing. He makes the weirdest noises, especially for such a big guy.

The monsters go in phases, I'm glad the vampire phase has calmed down, for awhile there it was getting a bit silly.

It is so so windy today. Almost all our leaves came down. And then blew down the street. We usually end up with everyone's leaves so it was a nice change.

"Rusalka" A3 Canson mixmedia paper, acrylic marker / retouched digitally as I couldn't get a good photo of it for some reason.

Seems like this particular water princess spent a bit too much time waiting for her beloved I think this may be the first piece of this type I ever did. Not bad for the first time.

Good work Vanity, always like your style.

Here's mine, inspiration from cemetery photos in my personal reference collection and a little of the old Night of the Living Dead. As I said, I kept it subtle, so you're not really sure of the guy there.

Acrylic on paper, 7x5"

Vanity lovey and sad at the same time, very well done.

Michelle soft light in the cemetery and the guy looks creepy enough, very done also.

Transylvanian Gothic - Inspired by British horror films where Christopher Lee portrayed Dracula. Acrylic on poster board at about 18 x 24, slightly cropped in photography. I'll post my zombie ghoul in a few hours.......

Vanity, that's beautiful and a lovely piece of music too. I listened to it while looking at the pictures here, it does suit so well!

Lavender, the figure gives it such a wonderful chilling spookiness. I like that.

Dianna, a mermaid zombie, what a great idea! Love how you painted the scales.

Woody, that's a beautiful classic. His eyes are compellingly creepy!

This is my Zombie portrait in acrylic on Arches 300gsm. He unintentionally ended up looking a bit Patrick Swayze-ish.

Re: October Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!

I made a paper mache zombie as well. Darn zombies are always walking and walking and walking and he walked right through all the paint in my studio and then out into the garden. Can't blame him, the hedge apples do look like brains..

Zombies are silly things. I do love them though.
