Green Goddess in the Mersey 1961

acrylic on canvas board size 12 x 20 inches.
The scene shows the Rms Caronia known as the Green Goddess,she is leaving Gladstone dock after a refit in January 1961,she is aided by Alexandra tugboats as she is turned to head for Southampton to pick up her cruise passengers then onto the West Indies.

this is my reference photo very dramatic as shown but i had to lighten it up and add color to show details.

I have been informed by a expert in ships livery that my green for the main hull is correct but the upper hull should be a very light green and not white,so i will be updating the painting to suit and will post later.
