Did you create this or is there a ref image?
A few things I notice- head seems very small - compared to breast & arm sizes .
A light direction ? with highlights & shadows for figure & all objects would enhance it.

it makes me think of 'the haunting at hill house', shirley jackson, fun read.
the roofs, hair and dress are the only things showing contrast so no, i wouldn't go pastel on the dress.
i would put some shadow on the ground below her tho, she's trying to float ... and either get rid of the bench or shrink it considerably.

JMW - I created it, trying to have it look like my home. Yes I did go a little small on the head. I'm going to also add the shadows - rookie error. Back to the easel. Thanks 
LA - I have not read that book but may have to check it out. Yes, I need to add shadows. Totally missed it. Thanks

Okay, here she is - "Expecting Someone". I have added shadows, increased her head and decreased her bust size, (but not too much as she is quite pregnant).
Thanks for your keen eyes and helping me improve my skills.
I did not remove the bench but lightened it to push it into the background more. |
