Seeing Red

Acrylics on unstretched canvas
approx. 24" x 60", still a WIP

It was an interesting summer. Lots of experimenting with pouring and diffusing, not much posting. Then I got distressed by the news and took solace in painting away in the style I always turn to when needing to sort things out and reach a more peaceful state.
Color, undulating movements, complexity and little that is static. As I was working, this just popped out, so I ran with it. Not sure I would want it watching me in a room, but it is what it is....for now. It's still a WIP, so CnC are welcomed (lighting glare in upper right, sorry).

P.S. Where I started is shown below the WIP. It was planned to be a bright and easy diffusion day.

Things changed a bit

Re: Seeing Red

Such lovely primary colors in this WIP! Keep going as you're headed in the right direction.

Re: Seeing Red

Thank you Anthony and Kay. Comments are very much appreciated.
I was away for a bit, but home now and can come after this piece again.
Kay, I agree the colors are a bit too primary, too strong...and too much green. I’m gonna do some color adjustment and work for better integration.
Debating on whether or not to make the eyes less obvious. They still creep me out.
