Japanese violet teacups

This teabags package has a really nice image of teacups. Most of all, I was attracted by the colors: deep mysterious violet, shades of sparkling viridian green and indigo... Mesmerizing!

Of course I couldn't resist a sketch this was drawn in an hour.

Though my teacups turned out a bit too tall for those delicate Asian small cups, still I enjoyed diving in my favorite colors. I don't use violet much in paintings, but actually deep violet and turquiose are my two favorite colors

I've bought two new blocks of paper and a new sketchbook just for my Specialists... already by my review with tons of pictures and video you can tell I'm crazy about my Specialists

This sketch was done in the new sketchbook. It's made in China, no-name-brand, but the surface is quite good for this type of oil pastels (though smooth, but still a harder and drier type):

Very pretty, Mira. I think the violet/viridian combo is always beautiful, too! It looks very nice with your teacups.

As I recall, my set of Specialists includes a couple of deep greenish/turquoise colors that are very unique.

Gorgeous color combinations. The teacups are delicate looking and the tea in the cup is a great color also.

All in one hour too! Well done!
