Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

as I said on the other thread - lovely Rainy, great sense of vertigo and the foreshortened people are good

That's a hotel on the harbour - I've often fancied spending a week there, just drawing and painting the village, beach and harbour

Rainy, that's an interesting view from above. What a great spot by the water! I'm glad you get to take on some artwork during your lunch breaks.

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

Excellent drawing of the inspirational village harbor--those angles would have driven me to drink.

The dog is really kinda cool...don't ask me why, but just looking at him, he seems just about to say something incredibly astute (no have haven't been drinking)

Get well soon!

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

Glad you're sketching again after being under the weather!

See my last note in your Ledger thread - I'm heading off on a long drive to Idaho to check out a breeder and either pick up a 1-year old show dog dropout or get on her wait list for the next litter of pups. (Pembroke Corgis.) So I might be heading back tomorrow with a new family member in the car - we'll see.

Any puppy sketch is a good sketch as far as I'm concerned. Get well fast!

John congratulations, I love Corgies, hope you get the one you want.

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

Debby - The breeder is in Parma. I drove over from the Seattle area (we're in Snoqualmie) to Ontario today - 433 miles. I'm meeting the breeder tomorrow around noon, then (probably) driving back tomorrow, though if it runs too long I may stay over another night. I decided to come over now because there is a nice weather window - very little snow going through the Blue Mountains, although there was a temp inversion and there was dense freezing fog in a few spots. It was tough even during the day, would have been a major problem at night.

My goodness, John. That's a long drive. Hope things work out and you get a new friend.

Sorry Rainy, we jacked your thread.

No problem. . . it is doggie related and I'm always interested in anything about dogs!
