Meant to comment on the inspiration thread, you got the reflection of the boat just right. Wonderful.

Nice sketches Rainy, my favorite is that flashlight. The colors are magnificent, just beautiful.

Rainy, I love the tiger and the boat. You are so fearless about mixing mediums and you get great results. Well done.

I like the look of the boat in charcoal and wc. Didn't the water make the charcoal smear?

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

Thank you all! Joan, yes, the charcoal did wash some with the watercolor was added but not as much as would have thought.

This one in the inpirational picts thread looked impossibly hard because of the angle/view, so of course I just HAD to try it on my lunch break.

Re: Rainy's Stillman & Birn Sketchbooks

LOL, you guys. Actually, yesterday was packing day as they are remodeling our area and I had not brought my lunch as I knew it would be too dusty and icky to eat in there with all the dust flying around. So I pretty much had the whole half hour break to fill!

I am posting this one just for the heck of it as I added a border and some text at home.
