Willy German Short Haired Pointer

Just finished the last of my Christmas commissions! I have been busy.
Anyway, thought I'd post this one. It is being delivered tomorrow. It's a bit over 11 x 14, assorted pastels on velour.
C & C always welcome.

You've certainly captured the intensity in the eyes - and the correct color for this breed too.

Good one, Kate!

You've really captured the sleekness and shini-ness of this breed. Great expression too. Really nice!

Re: Willy German Short Haired Pointer

He's a beauty, Kate! He sure looks a lot like my German Short hair. Mine is a rescue dog originally from Nebraska. He is afraid of loud noises and only interested in play - great qualities for a family dog, not so great for a hunting dog. I'm sure your clients are thrilled with this!

Re: Willy German Short Haired Pointer

Thank you all, so much!
The portrait was a huge hit. It will be framed and given to his owner as a Christmas gift, from his wife.
She and the kids were thrilled so I hope he will be too.
The white "flea bit" parts on his body were a PITA to do! Like trying to copy a road map! Ugh!
But he has a sweet face and a sweet disposition, and I couldn't complain about the photo refs, as I took them!
Now, I am on break, unless I decide to do a quick one as a gift for someone I know.

Great dog portrait! You captured everything individual about this animal including its sweet disposition, I had to grin as soon as I saw it. Well done!
