Re: Egg Washer WIP

The green was a lovely finishing touch. It's lively and intense all at once. Well done.

Re: Egg Washer WIP Finished

Hi Diana thanks for looking in again.

What you bring up is definitely part of my search with this style. I'm Trying to find a doorway to both of the types of mark making that I like. Hmm not sure if its this one I mentioned it in on the other mother and baby, but I'm trying to decided where i can allow static lines (or for me ones that are out of sequence to those around it), to exist in a sea of seemingly similar crossing ones, and keep it from feeling out of place. Or as you put it making it jump out. lol

If you look more closely you will find more of those types of lines, especially the outlines of the drawing. Essentially this one was more of a coloring book fill in for me.

so yeah can't say I didn't see it coming... I think this is a cross roads for me as I find myself wanting to put in areas of strokes that don't necessarly involve crossing I think that a few more hundred paintings and It will involve into something that I can call my own. Thank you

Imaybe thank you so much I'm glad you liked it.

Terri thanks yes I think the green made it seem closer to real.

Nancy thanks Pulling out paper for the next one.....

Re: Egg Washer WIP Finished

I kept thinking that I hope that you would not cover too much of the beautiful that you were doing. I love where you stopped. It is so unique. From viewing your website, already filled with awesome work, this one seems to stand apart. If you do more, I hope that you will share them with us.

Regards, Gary

It has been such a pleasure to watch your progress on this painting, Betsy! Wow, is this ever gorgeous! I know we see it up close on our monitors but I can imagine that those strokes give this so much energy from a distance, with all the colors vibrating!

Re: Egg Washer WIP Finished

Ron and Adriana thanks I was thinking of doing something with a farm person"elle" in a painting, but haven't found what I wanted yet. Something like farmer hauling, cutting, eating, feeding......
