Alien Hunter

Hi all. Just uploading my first art post. This was something I came up with while scribbling in a waiting room a couple of weeks back and just recently had a shot at doing a more complete sketch. It's meant to be a high-speed alien predator. Critique is definitely welcome, always happy to learn ways I can improve!

Re: Alien Hunter

He's very cool-looking. Nice texture. I like the slight resemblance to a cheetah or greyhound--definitely built for speed.

Re: Alien Hunter

Nice muscle definition and i LOVE his feet. Kinda cook with the two pairs of eyes too. Bet he can spot prey pretty darned good. He looks lean and mean. Definitly wouldn't want to run into him anywhere.

Re: Alien Hunter

And not only there. I sense someone who needs to be dragged into the planet project once we hit the wildlife section

In any case that's a great critter. Love the design. Great job with the anatomy and muscle tone as has been said before. He looks totally believable to me which is alway a big plus in my opinion.

Re: Alien Hunter

wow, he/she/it is amazing. I am a little confused... it looks like the front legs are longer than the back, is this by design, or an I just confused? If the legs are the same length, wouldn't the back be slopped to match the differnence in the height of the legs?

But, I'm willing to bet that you give this bad girl a cookie, she will just start purring.. or wagging, or slobbering, or ... whatever it is when these things are happy.

Re: Alien Hunter

nice design. looks to me that the foreward leg isnt to long, just that it is stepping towards you. It would be interesting to see what this would look like, pushed in ohter media. digital, or painted or penandink.
