The Tramp - Canadian Lynx

Original thread ishere

Hey guys

After a year of chilling and relaxing I just started a new painting. Again I fell in love with acrylics. I really, really love this technique.
Anyway, there were a lot of "premieres" this time. The First ever painted snow, the first fur in acrylics, the first ice in the water and the first tree closeup.
SO! I was a bit afraid after starting this painting.

"The Tramp" took me about one and a half months to complete.

Its 65x45 centimeters on hardboard MDF

Reference photo is from Dan Newcomb on flickr. Thanks again, Dan!

I hope you like it! I planned the next new painting the last weeks and so I hope to start a new one soon.

Best wishes,

Vany

Absolutely Awesme. Your snow is magnificent and the face of the lynx is beautiful.

Knock my socks off! This is truly wonderful and you've done brilliantly with so many firsts. I'm freezing just looking at it. So glad you stopping chilling and joined us again.

This is great work. Lots of details. You could almost be there watching the action.
