Deirdre - YEAY!
Sherry, Jon, John, Kat, Laurie and Brian: thank you all so much!!

Sherry, I'll post the finished version along the last one for you. I now consider this one done and I'm moving on to new adventures...

The last pic I posted:

And here is the finished piece:

These are just minor fixes, I don't fuzz that much with minor issues all the time. But the line between the egg shells was disturbing, and I ended up removing it completely. I also removed some reflections at the right side of the left shell, as they really didn't add anything to the painting. I have suggested the line just to have a line to help the eye move around. It makes a cleaner impression to me, and works better for me now.

I also pushed back that turquoise reflection going from the yolk towards the right shell. It has a bit cleaner look now, and doesn't take the focus of the yolk. I can still spot some issues, can you believe it...?! Gosh, I need to frame this to keep my fingers off it...well, it is a painting and I'm not trying to create a photograph, a few minor issues is allowed...

Thank you all for following the process, and for leaving such lovely comments!

Fabulous finish Merethe! I'll look back on this often, you gave such great pointers throughout. AND, to keep enjoying looking at the finished painting!

Re: Crushed it WIP

I agree with your changes Merethe, they made a difference. Sometimes those tweaks really do mean a lot. This is absolutely brilliant, and removing that line between the egg shells was an excellent decision (also that reflection on the right side of the left shell, I agree it wasn't necessary). This really is a show stopper, I can't wait to hear about the first award it wins!
