Re: Just a few paintings, indirect method

Thanks again for all the kind words! I've got one below that shows the color layer completed. Will hopefully get to the finishing layer tomorrow. In spite of the rain here in Virginia, I seem to have started having allergies. Thought it was a cold, but twice in 21 days? No fever, just typical allergy stuff. My wife thinks I'm allergic to her. LOL. Hope the Flonase works, it's hard to paint with toilet tissue hanging all around.

here's the completed grapes painting with all it's bling, water droplets, blue gray haze on each grape and final shadow glazing in the hands. The reference photo was gleaned from the website Paint My Photo. It's a cool site.

I know, it's not a flower. but I'll include a little diddy of a very rare miniature that was taken in by my new Gallery. So excited about that too. Living Large!

This is a 5" x 7" oils on canvas board.

Hi Preranap! Checked out your sites, the etsy link is incorrect and deadheads. Try this one as a link to your etsy site. It works better:

https://www.etsy.com/shop/preranap

It sends a user to your shop page to see all of your paintings.

Re: Just a few paintings, indirect method

Just got word from a new Gallery that took me in! Dorsey (the new gallery owner and art dealer) called to let me know my painting "Pink Surge" has been purchased by a local hospital. I love the fact that this piece will be bringing some sort of comfort and happiness to those that are in need of it.

This was my largest painting to date, 39" x 60". Presently on cloud 9, and will be unavailable for a few days while doing my happy dance.

Re: Just a few paintings, indirect method

a 30 x 40 inch gallery wrapped canvas.

The story behind this vase full of yellow roses is something most folks I'm sure have dealt with in some manner.

I love yellow roses. They are a sign of a close friendship. Not lovers, but a special friendship.

Our local herd of deer ate my prized bush in the front yard. After fencing in the back yard to keep deer out, tent caterpillars ate the bush I had just planted. But not before I got these beauties into a vase. They were the centerpiece of one of our world renowned backporch bbq. As the sun set, the rays struck these rose from behind and made the whole porch glow.

I tried to capture that glow. It was a special time, fond memories, good company, and good food. Yes, a special time.
