Practice Painting

14x18 Sometimes instead of original I like to take a painting by someone I admire (Matt Smith) and paint my own version to try and get out of my usual mold to improve.

I like it a lot - are you happy with it? Just curious. I like to try different styles sometimes and find it quite surprising when I like the results. It's a fun process isn't it?!

Nicely done. Still very much in your style.

I looked him up on Google images, and down the page I saw this painting.

Wonderful finish, love the way the viewers eye is lead from the lower area to the top of the high mountains. I've been toying with a mountain painting lately, love it.
