    Hello.

I have started learning watercolour painting in Septembre 2017 (once a week).
Not an easy task, but I have been enjoying progressing.
I love botanicals, and have started my classes by doing a notebook with only vegetables – I thought that if I started by something that touched, I could better progress. My teacher is fine with my choices.

Here are some of the botanicals I have done in class.

    Thank you for looking.

These are lovely Maria – it’s a real treat to see some of your lovely colour mixes – I’d say you’re learning fast and well!
I do hope you will share more of your work each week – and also join us in the monthly challenge – the Plant Parade (found near the top of the forum page).
    You are most welcome here!:)

    Cheers, Maureen

Thank you, Maureen, Skylar, Christel and Kay,I amtouched by your apreciation. :)

My next step is to try to be faster, and less insure. I still don’t dare to work on them alone, I need the teacher’s presence in case I have a doubt… this means I only paint once a week, ergo each watercolour takes forever.

I have been going out with the french urban sketchers (some are on my Learning Art Journal), hoping this practice will help me to paint faster.

I shall try to get organised and enter your monthly parade. :)

For a person that has been painting for only a year,I should say that you ought to congratulate yourself for the work so far.Imelda

Thank you, Rundun it is very kind of you – 8 months, but getting to the one year doing even more progress. ;) ;)

It is always difficult to congratulate oneself, at least to me.

These are really good Maria. Great work on the subtle colour changes in the leaves especially. The oak leaves with acorns is beautiful. :)
