I enjoy painting indoors when it starts to rain. This is a turban squash on an old leather tool box. My first time painting leather:

I liked the leather so much I put an old skull on it and painted it again:

        Comments and sugestions welcomed…

Fun colors. Although the squash is lovely I think the skull makes a better combination when paired with the old suitcase. Are these done in ArtRage?

I had to look up ArtRage, never heard of it before. No, I’m a traditional oil painter, guess I forgot to mention that. They are both 12 x 16 oil paint on board.

Actually I hadn’t heard of it either until I saw some digital posts on this forum that were done in the program. I wasn’t sure if yours were real oils or pixel ones.

I agree with Allison that the skull is a good match for that case because it makes one ponder about what remains inside it.

My only hint would be to work on the perspective of the case and get that back edge straight up and down.
