We must leave our mark on this worldNovember 1, 2018 at 4:43 am #720588Drizzly here too folks.
Carpet fitters in yesterday. Unfortunately on a day when Elec Board turned off power between 9am and 4pm to upgrade cables in village. So no heat in house and no cups of tea for us or the carpet fitters.
However carpet looks good. I shall have to learn to hover – no that’s not mis-spelt, I mean hover. I can already hoover. Now to hump all the furniture back. Luckily daughter Ali will help.
Mike.
November 1, 2018 at 4:44 am #720566Take it easy Mike, you are not fit yet.

We must leave our mark on this worldNovember 1, 2018 at 4:55 am #720573Another long day, lunching with Tania, visiting a girlfriend, and going to the hospital.
I got to the hospital in time to talk to the Dr and she said he has coronary arterial disease, which has been happening for a very long time. One artery is 100% blocked and the other is 40% blocked. He has to change his lifestyle, and make sure he doesn’t smoke again. Time will tell..
I hope everyone is as well as they can be.
Love and hugs to all :grouphug: :grouphug:

A good day is worthy of reporting, Annie.
I have an idea on painting that challenge, Doug.
JJ, A real challenge for Alan. I hope he can make the change.
I’m seeing my opthamologist in Ann Arbor today and will be staying the night. Eyes too blurred to drive 107 miles back, especially in the dark.

November 1, 2018 at 5:42 am #720570Good Morning all,
It is 5:45 a.m. here in wet and getting wetter Oakwood. It has rained all night long and continues. The area is under a flood warning. Little trick or treaters had to fight the elements so we didn’t see or hear many last night either.I posted my painting of the men playing backgammon in The Gallery this morning (link in my signature). Not my best painting, but I had fun doing it.
JJ, Alan is fortunate he made it to the hospital in time. Hope he is up to the challenge of changing his life style for the better.
Doug, I was uploading my painting a few minutes ago when I got a message saying “The connection has been broken, try again in a few minutes”. So I had to start over.
to all,
SYL,
Sylvia

November 1, 2018 at 8:08 am #720571Good Morning!!
Very quick Hi because I have to get ready for the monthly committee meeting.
It’s Thursday = Cake and Scrabble day in the afternoon.
Supposed to rain off and on all day with a high of 7C.
to all and wishing us all a good day!!

November 1, 2018 at 8:49 am #720572Good Morning from the very wet SW of Ontario… it rained all night. The little Trick or Treaters got a break from the deluge and were able to go out and about in just light jackets under/over their costumes. We didn’t get many children at the door this year, but those we did were enthusiastic.
After Class yesterday, a friend dropped by for a visit. We went down to the Studio and finished off the pot of coffee that I’d already brewed. When she left, I stayed and worked on my still life.
I have to go to the Gallery this afternoon and I may get the work finished today. I hope so because I have an idea I want to try as a background for ravens.
Ted has a Dr.’s appointment this morning. I won’t go with him because I don’t trust our Doctor to be on time. He’s typically half to an hour behind scheduled time.
Kay, I loved the photo of your tree!
Reporting a beautiful day is a beautiful start to the Wash, Annie.
Doug, I finally peeked in to last month’s Challenge. Our Members are incredibly creative and talented!
Hi Geoff… the answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind…
Mike, you know better than to overdo things! Your Daughter will keep you in your place, I’m sure.
JJ, with that much blockage is Alan not being considered for bypass surgery?
Best of luck with your opthamologist appointment, Bill. Drive carefully. Is Janet going to try to manage on her own?
Sylvia, I did peek at your painting in the Gallery! It’s beautifully done. I love all the shirts. And the watch!
Uschi and all yet to come! I hope everyone enjoys the very best possible day! :grouphug:

November 1, 2018 at 9:32 am #720586Hi everyone Sylvia did go to her appointment with the dr for her last checkup the dr is quite pleased so now she has an appointment with getting a new lens put in her glasses and also having another pair made, she cant wait for being able to see and read things again properly .
I made the decision last night that tis will be the last year that im having everyone here for Boxing Day we usually set up for fourteen people at the dinner but the year I have these oxygen pipes to worry about and people having to walk past going back and forth for things such as drinks and bathroom breaks it will be like a nightmare having to deal with that .
Uschi where has Gail and Dan moved to .
how is Ethans German coming along ?Sending healing vibes to all. :grouphug: :grouphug:

November 1, 2018 at 9:37 am #720576everyone,
We got 49 kids at the door last night and shut down at 8:30. Brian has to take everything down today and go back to putting up Xmas lights. It’s going up to 3 today.I’m going to the gym today. I haven’t been in 10 days because every time I start moving I start coughing. I’ll take some cough medicine before. This evening I’m giving that demonstration on framing and I’ll set up for that on my way to the gym.
Brian and my son went to Shoppers Drug Mart this morning for their after Halloween sales. My son goes every year. They mark down the decorations and candy by about 90%. Then they had to pick up his van at 8:00 that was in for repairs. Huge bill but at least it’s safe to drive for the winter.
I better get moving. I’ve been delaying because I have a cat asleep across my feet. Have a great start to a new month. I’ve never liked November because it is always my busiest preparing for Xmas but then I can enjoy December with everything done.

November 1, 2018 at 10:06 am #720589A good Thursday to all….rained all night, still raining off and on this morning, solid overcast for the day…….
A trip to the Vet this morning to drop off the new boarder that has adopted us..have to have her checked out, shots, etc., etc… and then my 1 week follow up on my eye. The rest of the day is open.
Lisa got up this morning and could hardly walk her back was hurt so bad….I told her this happens every time we go to your daughters. The couch is so deep Lisa’s feet don’t touch the floor and she ends up with her back locked up the next morning…..she’s apparently pinching a nerve sitting on it.
Have to run….greetings to all here and those to come for a good Thursday…BBL
Be good, do good………..little things.
