Re: Scavenger Hunt #568: December 11 - 19

Dave, great to have an ear to sketch that stays still. Good job. I like the shelf with the cards and candles. Great ellipses. The tree is very nice. I like the shading.

Hi to Joe and all the rest.

Hard to find the sketching muse, but finally got a couple done in the big book. Pretty rough to be there forever. Heh, heh. Used a Micron01.

Number 1, ball - the robot dog's ball. He can chase it and catch it.
Number 2, sunglasses

Jo - Nice hatching. Ball is spot on. The hand is well done. Like how you did highlight on lens.

Keep sketching
Joe

Jo, nicely done. The ball in the hand in particular is really well observed and rendered.

Sorry for being missing from action... did not even have time to do Xmas card, or even writing one.... Great fun sketches from many of you...

We were having our truck's tire changed during the weekend... while we were waiting... I did this sketch...

#1 something you wouldn't normally draw because it's too difficult ... a scene inside a mechanics shop ... various vehicles had been on the lifts...way up...I love the giant clips or clamps on our truck tires during tire alignment...I don't imagine using one on my canvas...

Hello everyone - started a part time job and filing for divorce…..sketching a little bit would be good therapy…….I hope to do SOMETHING sketchy today!!!

Joe - YAY!! you got to sketch!!! Love the dolphins guiding the submarine carving…..beautiful concept. Lovely balls…..the light airyness fits those type of balls too. Sweet radio…hey, you are getting to sketch …….

Scatty- cool seeing all your figurines…….fun sketch

Mothsailor - great blind contour sketches- veery cohesive for blind contour, congrats. The pitcher looks solid and earthy. I’ve never tried drawing with mechanical pencil but hear quite a few artists express their pleasure using them….thanks, I will try it sometime.

Jo - good job on the tree, refreshing spacing between the cards on shelf, and love the rough ear…..nice depth of form. very clear ball in hand -

Ai - wonderful difficult sketch…..very interesting and enjoyable

Dave - I had the same confusion with dolphin mammal vs fish. I was always a bit suspicious of mahi-mahi thinking they had porpoises for food. Great SP blind contours. You'll see you inspired me to do some too Yay new art tools. Fun shelf with the koala card.

Scatty - thanks for the photo of the shelf. Agree with you about dust.

Joe - good job on the physio equipment and thanks for the photo as an orientation to us. Ah look at that radio. What's the approximate size of the item?

Jo - I find most ears on non-dogs stay still ... but the heads they are attached to might move around. Robot dog? I have a robot vacuum ...

Ai - I hear you about being busy with life. Good job sketching the mechanics and I bet they have never had their shop sketched before.

Robin - hello - yay for the new job and hugs on the life changes. Yay a blue bowl and spoon

* * * * *

Here's likely all I'll get to share this hunt. Inspired by mothsailor/Dave.

1. self portrait done with the non dominant (spelled wrong on my sketch - oops) hand and with continuous line.

two expressions - the second one was fun to make but not fun to hold for long so I had to sketch quickly

Cheers,

Re: Scavenger Hunt #568: December 11 - 19

Ai - you did the difficult well. Great use of waiting time? Definitely captured a mechanic shop!

Robin - have missed you and your color inks. Nice sketch.

EP - you combined a few drawing challenges and did them all well!! You and Joan T need to have a non-dominant hand draw off. I just read your note now and am on my exercise bike. I will post the radio size later.

9 - your sp looks sideways but can still make out it is a face. Nice work on the. hand and Kit Kat.

Keep sketching
Joe

Dave, thanks for the list. It was a good one, I just didn't have time. It is hard when you are a procrastinator and lazy.

See all y'all next Hunt.

EP, love those faces. My smile for the day, why is it always you that makes me smile?

number9? Mmmmm. I like Kitkats, too. Nice job on the hand. I see your face, too. Thanks for joining in!
