Been playing around with oils. (pastel being my premier medium) Having lots of fun and learning a lot. Starting small, planning on working up to larger sizes

Ron, these are so stunning! I love the crisp, clean feel of them both, along with the warm tones in your palette. Even the snowy scene has such a great warmth to it. These feel like the classic western paintings of Frederic Remington or Charles Russell. So glad to see you’re still painting. We’ve been missing you around here.

We have been missing you. These are both great. Full of life and much info in small areas. Excellent. I like first too, may have to do with the fact I don’t like to be cold. Ha.

Both are very nice! Wyoming is such a beautiful state. I’ve only been to Yellowstone. Would love to go back some day.
