'Integrity' in Marine Painting?

Hi. Just thought I'd pop this in here. See if any of you have an opinion.

I've just been (besides rather busy generally) to an event where there was a speaker, a very - very - successful artist, who used the word 'integrity'. Saying that he beleived it was really important for an artist to maintain they're own - integrity - in their work.

I began wondering about the word and what precisely it meant - in the context of marine art especially... anyone any thoughts about it?
Thanks

Well, in what context did he use it in? Did he give examples?

I'm with Frank on this one, was he just emphasizing "To thine own self be true" kind of integrity, or did he have something else in mind? Such as don't steal from another artist?

How long is a piece of string?
It depends on the context.
There is business integrity when dealing with clients and galleries, very important.
There is artistic integrity, when bring true to your own vision, style, subject.
There is moral integrity, not ripping off other's work, ethical integrity, all of which can be lumped under integrity generally.
Can you be more contextually specific, Neyl?
