It’s October already!
My theme for this month is COSTUMES
There are so many reference photos in the RIL and pixabay that I had difficulty choosing what I should post. You are welcome to choose your own references or combine, crop and change these pics.
Here are some ideas
Masks
A scarecrow for the landscapers
Bathing costumes – for this challenge, let’s stick to the old fashioned ones:lol:
A old diver suit
Theatre
Traditional dress
Historic
Fantasy
Have fun!Christel

October 2, 2019 at 1:33 pm #886853ooo, this looks like fun! Costumes, masks, fantasy… great set of refs here, Christel.
I love your Charlie Chaplin! Looks great. I like your interpretation of the beer maidens, as well. Nice way to kick off the challenge!

Charlie’s hair looks very “scrunchy” and the hat is sitting just right.
The beer ladies have great details and such happy expressions.
I think we have that beer stein!

Sennelier white, deep red, and yellow ochre, and Pentel black oil pastels on Clairefontaine Pastelmat, 6″ x 9″. Oh, and the black Derwent drawing pencil for his tattoos. I looked at some masks for ideas, but otherwise no references:
