Experimenting with semi-abstract

This is an acrylic on 16x20" canvas entitled: Dream I Had
I'm not sure who this would appeal to but I'm liking it.

Re: Experimenting with semi-abstract

This is very well composed, and the varied textures are wonderfully executed:

Re: Experimenting with semi-abstract

I love the splatter droplets and the metallic paint! I'm not sure if it's an eye I see or the earth.

To go back to that debate, I do see motion in this and I like it!

I've been attempting to behave and doing several traditional works between doing another abstract whatever. It's the mystery that appeals to me.

I get a lot of ideas for texture from Gerda Lipski's YouTube videos here - she shows how to do everything and is very generous explaining every step. I also use impasto and things I learned from watercolour and sumi-e. Justing throwing it all together.

Re: Experimenting with semi-abstract

It's a little disconcerting, scary (no bad thing!) and those textures are superb!

Very interesting, I especially like the 3d effect created with the white in the foreground.

Intriguing, love the textures and colors. Looks alien. Nicely painted.
