This looks Great! For years, my specialty was realistic murals and Tromp L'oeil.

Oldnmartist that's super so far. Keep posting the progress. You have a nice style! I have just something of a similar scene ie a riverbank with only a little sky. I must admit I found it hard to stop it looking like just a mass of greenery!

Putting more interest in the background and working to define the floating light green on the water. I am discovering what it takes to make it appear like the water is flat.

This might be a bit more yellow than the actual.

In terms of what left to do,one thing is to make the yellow pads floating on the surface to appear a bit flatter, especially on the left side. I am thinking I need an open path back through them.

Awesome work - I think the pads need to be defined a bit better here and there and that would solve your issue with the left side
