Scavenger Hunt #589: May 28 - Jun 5

If you've participated in at least one Scavenger Hunt and have time to host one we would really appreciate it. You can sign up by posting your name on the current hosting schedule in the Art From Life forum here:
http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=366347

Here are the rules for the hunt:

* All items on the list must be sketched from life - not imagination or photo reference.
* Each object you draw can count for only one item on the list.
* You may place multiple objects together in a drawing or painting, and may count these objects as separate items, but no single object can count for more than one item.
* All items posted must be numbered. Count them as you go. The first item you post will be #1 ..till #26 (If you complete all items on list). Do them in whatever order you wish.
* Do as many or as few of the items as you like. You don't have to finish the entire list to participate. The Scavenger Hunt "week" will last for 9 days, then the next hunt will start.
* Please tell us about your subjects and sketching/painting setups. Photos of your subjects are welcome.

*** If you have some hunt sketches completed but little time to read/comment, please post your sketches anyways. Commenting is appreciated but not necessary. ***

Re: Scavenger Hunt #589: May 28 - Jun 5

I sketched on the porch in the big book with a Prismacolor 03 and added colored pencil for
Number 1 yellow
Number 2 blue

I sketched in the travel sketchbook with the Prismacolor 03 and added colored pencil at the house.
Number 3 multi colors in the same object - playground equipment

I did not add color to this one. The dragonfly was black and white.
Number 4, animal - a stretch for the dragonfly

Joan - the house is good but the red poppy is WONDERFUL!! Check out that food cart. How did you do the white of the spokes on the wheels? Yay statue of liberty!

Jo - wildflowers in a wine glass? There should be wine in the wine glass Yay playground equipment. Cool dragonfly.

Joan, a great tour of New York. Love the Statue of Liberty and the food cart. Fun! The train rider is excellent.

EP, look at the colors! I love the plant, looks like a Christmas cactus about to bloom. Is it confused, got into my wine????

Joan — Yards full of color! Glorious poppies and irises! And baskets!!! Baskets full of flowers! Tools! Thanks for bringing lovely spring my way 💐

Jo — More spring! More flowers... and in a wine glass no less 😄 Aww and playground fun! Nothing says spring like dragonflies Lovely sketch, beautiful lines — very appealing! LOL re: your comment to EP

Joan again — Lovely sketch of a person (and a mood). Wow, serene view of our statue through some of the beauty she watches over. And spring has arrived at the kiosk! Wonderful colorful scene and perfect backdrop — you're on a roll! Such great work!!! Ditto EP's question.

EP — Amazing melty colors — spring!!! 🎨 Especially the rose-peach pencil — and the whole lovely scene really... the beautiful plant and the bright sketchbook...
