Haha! When I can't sleep I put Bob Ross on Netflix and let it run. Never fails to soothe me.

Yes, any painting or crafting videos are very relaxing. And inspiring. But some make me want to go supply shopping lol.

Re: May 2019 Fantasy Sci-Fi Challenge and Chat

Decided to give this challenge a go. It'll be good to try to do something to share, maybe I'll try for a better finish as I'm mostly rough sketching at the mo' (very recently taken up arting again after decades of not). Been searching online for suitable human body template images to use for my take on the Angels and Demons brief. Lots to plough through (pun intended I guess). I should probably put my browser on safe mode when doing this sort of thing. Or not? o.O

You could try these for your body references: http://www.proko.com/skellyapp/

http://3d-virtual-figure-drawing-stu...r.com/windows/

And maybe try looking in exercise sites for poses too.

For your dragon claw inspirations try looking at raptor claws. Or just use your imagination and combine several animal species. But then there is always your total imagination. I mean just look at Pokemon. Not every creature has to have recognizable digits and limbs.

Hi Talisman, a bit confused. Is the "reveal date" (21st) the deadline for the challenge? Or is the deadline the end of the month, so we have just over a week (between 21st and 31st) in which to post our submissions for the challenge? I'm reading it as the latter. Cheers

You could also check out this thread(click here) which has links to learning threads on this site.

I'm running late this month, I ahven't even started yet though I have an idea. We totally refinished out bathroom, it was a lot of work but it's almost done, just have to add the finishing touches.

Re: May 2019 Fantasy Sci-Fi Challenge and Chat

That would be a lot of work Virginia, but worth it right?

I did something really quick for this project. My acrylic project is dragging on though.

Re: May 2019 Fantasy Sci-Fi Challenge and Chat

It was so much work but worth it. It hadn't been updated since the house was built.
I had to have two paintings to the museum today as part of a community art project and in the middle of the night decided I hated one of them and got up and repainted it at 3am. Thank goodness acrylics dry fast. It's a big weight off my shoulders to have them done and gone!
