Final fixative for Prisma colored pencil drawing

Hi All,

This question might have been asked before but couldn't find enough information. What's the best fixative (to protect and avoid wax bloom) for a prisma colored pencil drawing ? I tried grumbacher final fixative for pastel, pencil, charcoal on a sample colored pencil drawing and felt the white of the paper turned a little yellowish after one coat but the colored part looked ok.
Can you please suggest a fixative which works well with prisma color pencils ?

much appreciated.
Thanks,
Hyma

To prevent wax bloom from appearing on your work, use a colored pencil fixative. Fixative is available in an aerosol can and is applied to the drawing using swift passing sprays.

I've never had any trouble with bloom, and I use Prismas heavily. So either may be fine.

Re: Final fixative for Prisma colored pencil drawing

I use Brush & Pencil advanced fixative primarily. They have both a workable and final fixative which is fantastic for preventing wax bloom and both offer UV protection as well, especially if you do works (as I do) that are not going to be under glass and may be exposed to moderate direct window light.
I have also used Blick workable fixative from time to time.
