First Time LIFE model experience
Last Thursday was the first time I ever modeled as a nude male for a life class. Before I did this, I had A few poses that I worked on since it was to be A long pose. I brought A pole and A yoga block to raise one foot. About A week before I showed up I shaved my whole body to show more muscle.
I had also practiced nude yoga to see if I would be ok with accepting me and being nude. I am fairly muscular in my legs and shoulders and in my arms. The rest I need to work on.
I arrived early and spoke with the person who heads the sketch club. She is A pretty young woman in her late 20s early 30s. Anyway, I gave her my ideas and she said to what the other artists wanted. Three other older women walked in. Two were slightly to my left and one was middle right and the coordinator was to my right. Once the time started I was sitting nude in front of 4 women. I guess since I donít find this off or sexual and I appreciate my body I was not nervous at all if they judged my nude body.
At break, the two on the left were drawing my portrait and the other two my whole body. One of the older women drew everything and she did a great job. Once I went back on the platform two guys walked in and sat to my far left. They drew me and are new to the club and are returning. I am glad that I did not scare them off.
About and hour later the young coordinator moved to pretty much in front of me. That was the first time it hit me that I am nude and could be her fatherís age and she is seeing everything. I noticed she kept looking at my groin area. I was thinking that I am exposed and I have to go with it. When I got for A break I walked over and saw she was drawing my hand which was on my knee. Yes, she could see me completely nude and my genitalia but her focus was on the fingers. She did A great job.
My thoughts are that I am hooked on being A life model because it was normal and natural to me. Also, I am to return for shorter poses. I have A very supportive wife as well. I was not too nervous overall. I knew if someone walked in because the door was not locked I just did not care because it is a museum.
This is my first experience.
