Re: Landscape ( 1800's ) - WIP

Thanks Don ... it has been an interesting endeavor for sure ... a number of paint-in, take-out and repaint sessions ... but overall I am making headway -

Appreciate your viewing -

Hud

It's like the sun came out. Beautiful work on opening up the scene. I did like the cozy, sheltered feel of the painting before, but this is much lighter and more appealing. Keep up the excellent work!

Re: Landscape ( 1800's ) - WIP

I felt the water looked to static ... needed some movement ... so I developed a feeder stream which I think gave the water more life and activity - Also, continued working on the trees, sky and did a little work on the figure - I believe one more session and I can wrap it up -

Thanks for viewing - Hud

This gets more beautiful and rich with each update. I really like the changes to the water, as it leads the eye around the painting better. Beautiful softness in this. Looking great!

Re: Landscape ( 1800's ) - WIP

Have made my final touches to the trees, figure and sky ... I'm getting to the point that I cannot see the forest for the trees ... thus, going to call it done -

Comments and suggestions always welcome -

Thanks for viewing - Hud

Beautiful finish on this painting, Hud! It looks wonderful. I like the character you've given to your trees - as they are in life, they each are shaped differently and have their own sort of personalities. Well done!
