Re: April 2019, Monthly Challenge and Smalltalk.

Lil, those are beautiful! I love the beach scene.

Kay, love your style.

It's still a little bit chilly but we finally have daffodils! They are so beautiful.

Re: April 2019, Monthly Challenge and Smalltalk.

I've been neglecting my own artwork to participate in a few challenges for a bit of fun.

SoCalDan - A unique style with your digi's, works a treat.
Floblue - Excellent textures in this piece.
Christel - Love the Egret and the background, so much to see there.
Virginia - Funky purple dinosaur.
Lil - Great watercolours, I particularly like the greens in the background of the egret.
Kay - Rather bold and striking with the directional pattern in the background against the white egret, excellent colour combinations.

I had a go at the mill, 10cm x 7cm or 4 x 2-3/4, tried for the classical 3.5 x 2.5 inch but it grew a little, pen and acrylic ink.

Beautiful work everyone. Is super late I will comment later.

I tried my palette knife over a guesso cereal box. I am not happy with it. I do not like it. Almost did not post it. Oh well.

Oils about 5 x 7.

I'm glad you did, it's been a quiet month!

I think that looks pretty good. Your sky and water is excellent. Smart to use the cereal box, that's a great way to recycle!

Re: April 2019, Monthly Challenge and Smalltalk.

I had to make the fennel more plump in order to better fit with the proportions of the support ( 3.14 x 2.16 in. wood panel ).
The snail is having a feast.

How beautiful. I love the patterns in the snail and on the fennel. What a stunning little bit of art!
