Remington Statue ~ plein air sketch

11x8.5 ink sketch on Strathmore mixed media art journal done en plein air this morning at Hotel Settles in Big Spring. I hosted the Odessa Watercolor Horizons Group artists for a paint out. Two of Remington's life size western statues are east of the main entrance and this is a crop of one of them. Not sure if I will add paint or not
C&C welcome

Very nice! It would look good with paint too.

Kay, this is awesome! Love the powerful use of lines in every bit of this drawing. Such a dramatic crop too. It feels finished to my eyes - but I know if you add color, it will be just as amazing. Excellent work!

I like how you did this! And the point of view of the statue. Interesting!

Re: Remington Statue ~ plein air sketch

Nice work Kay and it works just as is...a fine drawing. I find that I only busy one up sometimes when trying to add to what was a spontaneous drawing. The two never seem to sync well, the "improvement" always seems too tight.
Good to see your work again.
