1959 off Norfolk Va. Victorious refuels from RFA Tidereach
Riptide was the name of the exercise demonstrating the state of the art air warning radar fitted in Victorious, and was shown to the US 2nd Fleet
RN ships on the right USN on the left. I was part of the FlightDeck crew.

Possibly a scene on the Clyde in the 1950's. Astute about to go along side Forth, Waverly thrashes her way through the chop, as some old war horses gather barnacles in the background.

South Georgia 1982
L to R Glamorgan, Canberra, Endurance and Olna, with the Wessex 'Humphry' and Endurance's Wasp.
I don't know if they were ever in this formation, but I think they were all in the vicinity.

Loving all of these Jim . That U-boat stalking one gave me the shivers . I think about how my Dad (Merchant Navy) must have felt during those convoy crossings and wonder if he's in one of those silhouettes on the horizon.

Thanks Neil. The guy who commissioned these last Paintings was going up to Lossie today on a photo day out. At least he had reasonable weather for it.
