Question chinese ink rubbing: how to make a tamper


I would like to start experimenting with chinese ink rubbing.
To make sure everyone talks about the same, this is an example:

First thing I want to do is make a tamper for applying the ink.
If you know how to do this, have experience what material works best, etc ...
please leave a comment, or a link to some information.

For the moment I find only examples of people using it,
but really nothing about how to make one myself.
