Re: Scavenger Hunt #576, Feb 13 - Feb 21

Super sketches: Joan, Paul, EP, and Jeroen

I am slow now.

#1 growing ... Tone and I put the seeds in the pots at our Bangkok home. We will transplant several of these trees to our cabin in June ... I hope to see it grow to 20 years giant tree size, as our personal forest.

Thanks for your comments everyone!

Paul - You got a lot done! Good shading on these especially the vase and the lamp.
Jeroen - Wow!!! That's quite a detailed sketch of your orderly art materials.
EP - I like how you sketched the camera bag in such a relaxed pose. Nice group!
Ai - Nice sketch. I'm glad to hear it will get planted at your farm and have a chance to grow so tall.

Yesterday I was sketching at the Metropolitan Museum.
3 - isolated helmet at the museum- water-soluble graphite and ink
4 - firmness (suit of armor) - water-soluble graphite, watercolor pencil and ink
5 - important samurai - watercolor pencils and ink

Paul, great sketches and choices for the words. Your beach scenes made me smile.

Jeroen, you have a wonderful cabinet full of art supplies. Your hatching is so neat and well done. You probably have more than one of the words in that sketch.

EP, fun finds on your items and the groupings. Thanks for the photos.

Ai, looks like a great start to your forest. Yay!!

Joan we cross posted. Love your tough sketches. You find amazing items on your outings. The Samurai is very cool.

Joan - such detail in that samurai on the right

Jo - thank you

Paul - all sketches are lovely and while yes there is a bit of a stretch they are all great

Scatty - a tree weekend for you! Did your pup get involved in the tree activities (ooh look another great stick for me ... ooh look another great stick for me)? Lovely green glowpot and purple button (any photos of that coat that belongs to the purple button?)

Paul, I am smiling at your graphite beach sketches. I like your choices especially passenger and firmness. The shading on the coffee maker is great and I'm looking for some bread to toast, wish I had an English muffin.

EP and Scatty, are "real" English muffins similar to what we get in the grocery stores here or do you know?

Thanks, "J", for the updating.

Scatty, I like your choices, too. Beautiful rich colors and on copy paper. I'm impressed. Mine would go to mud and lose their shapes. I like the little pot and the choice banana item.

I wiped off the sanded paper again and sketched for about 30 minutes with pastels.

Wiped off, could be cleaner but for sketching??? Some ghost images there.

The real deal...

Paul, oh my goodness, you've done lots!...you're on a roll. Beautiful looking lamp, and your vase may be lonely, but t'is lovely. Wedding band, yep important. Good work on the sail boat, and beach peeps are great, esp like the big brolly, dilapidated hat and lady using her fella as a pillow Well done on the paper towel roll, flowers detergent, and with the toaster and coffee maker, all set for breakfast
Jeroen, fab 'importent', great hatching, that cupboard looks so full of goodies...
Ai, gosh you've been busy, lovely sketches all, nice growing, and like the bag hanging on the bannister. Clever blowing, and love that you're growing and planting trees, we need so many now. Well done on all...
Joan, my you find so many interesting things, super job on the armour, esp the samurai...
EP, thanks, the gardening chores were at my daughters, and pup stayed home with dh, but she has a dog too, a spaniel who is adorable ...sorry, no photo of button, I borrowed a coat of my daughters, but have a green pot the same which she gave me, so I've photo'd that one foe you...

Jo, not sure what your muffins are like, ours are about twice as big as the old type paper cup cakes, ...love your glowing teddy, bet he keeps warm there...
