Ai; Thanks... great sketches of Bangkok. I remember seeing a couple places.
Very colorful. Hosting a tea ceremony, very nice. Love the Chinese gate. I really need to get back to Bangkok

Jo; thanks

EP; Thanks... yes the perspective is odd to me as well. The blades tilt at an angle which really makes them each unique here is the ref fan:

Paul, thanks, I have several old mugs in plain colours, they make good practice subjects. Oh yes, cooking smells good, is it a breakfast fry up? Very well done on the fan, difficult with all the weird angles.
EP, thanks.
Ai, thanks, that toy keeps her amused for a while. Beautiful sketches, the tea and cakes looks very inviting, and lovely ornate buildings, I like the old one, and the Royal Gate is gorgeously done, so full of colour. That park is an endless inspiration too.
Jo, thanks, I forgot you collected mugs, I seem to remember you lost a lot before, how many do you have now? That skull is awesome, and I'm trying to imagine how you get those pots into your head...
Jeroen, neat sketches, long time since I've seen a harmonica, good work on all.
...I've done a few more, but haven't managed to snap them yet...

Ai, I love your Bravery, Royal Gate. You know me and color. The tourist and tea sketches are great, too. Nice idea and catch on the old building for ephemeral. Always nice to go out with the sketchers. Applause.... Oh, and a great view of the park.

Thanks, EP. I know that we are wimps and spoiled about the weather.

Paul, nice shout out to your wife. Good job. :-) Thanks for the photo, looks like a nice view.

Hey, Scatty. No idea on the number of "new" mugs. I must have 30 plus, real ones again. Crazy. I haven't kept track of the virtual ones. Bet it far surpasses the real ones. We usually get at least one a Hunt, right?

Re: Scavenger Hunt #574, Jan 29 - Feb 5

Joan T - like the shading on the nail sketc. Kind if agree with Ai no one in you sketch looks like they need WW.

Jo - nice work on Honey bee. Good proportions. But the bristles on brush blew my mind. The pastel is beautiful.

Paul - Nice set of sketches. That wallet looks plump. Vacuuming the van? Getting ready to head south? Nice perspective work on the fan. Cooking was a good interpretation. Nice watercolor sketches. Love the take on bravery.

Ai - love sketches of the girls and photos to match. The tea setting is an eye catcher. Love you even got ref photo of the tourist. The Royal Gate is WOW. Park looks do peaceful.

EP - Nice sketches. Like how you captures wavy edges of dry oak leaf. The tines on comb remind me of an Escher drawing.

Scatty - love the shading on your watercolor sketches especially the whistle and mug. Really enjoy your watercolor sketches especially as floundering beginner. The peace pipe is my fav as I collect NA arts, crafts, etc. Thanks for photo reference.

Jeroen - your drawings are all so clean and your linear hatching is great. Every time I look at one of your posts I say ‘damn’ - part in superlative and part in envy.

Keep sketching
Joe
