Excellent Earl, the best part is down to the groin, beautiful shadowing, you can really feel the bone structure

Re: More life drawings

Some very fine drawing in this thread. I commented on the first one already, the others in this thread also turned out well. I like seeing the progression of each one.

Re: More life drawings

David- I'll be traveling quite a bit over summer. I'll draw when I can and share when I can. Tomorrow I'm headed out for a week for work. No family or friends will be with... so I should have some time. I've been trying to work up the nerve to do some gorilla art of unsuspecting strangers in public... like Constance. If I grow a spine I'll share.

Dorrart- Thanks for the kind words. FYI... we had a big discussion in class regarding stylized vs realistic art. I really had no idea what stylized meant. Thanks. I learned something.

I think after seeing more of your work it tends towards realistic. I see in your works the desire to depict real life and your drawing ability is very good. The classroom studio setting imparts some elements of stylized (classical) art, but like your first drawing in this thread, the man standing from the side. You took what was possibly the least desirable position (having arrived late) and turned it into a fine piece of artwork, transcending the pose. I'm looking forward to what you do with the 'gorilla' works.
